How are you doing loving God?

How are you doing loving yourself?

How are you doing loving others?

These are the most important questions we can ask each other and discuss with each other. That is because they come from Jesus’ words when asked by a lawyer what the greatest commandment was.

34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.(Matthew 22:37-40)

These three questions also reveal to us the three dimensions of wholeness. There is the upwarddimension, which represents our relationship with God. There is the inwarddimension, which represents how we see ourselves. There is the outward dimension, which represents our relationship with others.

What is the connection between peace and wholeness?

We cannot love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength unless we are at peace with God. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit that makes us at peace with God and enables us to love God. So, because we are at peace with God and are able to love God we can be at peace with ourselves and love ourselves. So, because we are at peace with ourselves and can love ourselves we can be at peace with others and love others. These are the dynamics and dimensions of wholeness.

Some of the most common search topics on the web according to research by Cru Global Digital are: anxiety, domestic abuse, addiction, help for porn, loneliness, emotional abandonment, is there a god, depression, and suicidal thoughts. All of these are the result of a fragmented and broken lives that are not experiencing wholeness.

The Gospel brings peace for our souls and transforms the chaos into wholeness by the power of the Holy Spirit.

How are you doing loving God?

How are you doing loving yourself?

How are you doing loving others?

Take these questions and have a good discussion with someone today and ask God to be present with His transforming peace.
