Nothing Is Too Wonderful To Be True

Welcome – this is my first post on the blog.  I look forward to sharing some thoughts with you so we can interact in the weeks, months and years ahead.  You might be asking, “What is the title of my blog all about?”  It comes from Michael Faraday who was a brilliant scientist who lived in the late 19th century.  His quote read, “Nothing is too wonderful to be true , if it be consistent with the laws of nature.”  Like many believers today Michael struggled with the dualistic thinking of: fact versus faith and the natural world versus the supernatural world.
We live in a relational universe.  The only way we can make sense of all the universal heart issues we all deal with is if there is a relational God behind the universe.  This relational God has been revealing Himself throughout history as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  When faith comes and we enter into relationship with Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit we enter into a whole new life – eternal life.  And this new life is no longer just bound by the physical laws of science and the material world – it is a supernatural universe because an infinite all powerful God has created it.
So, Faraday’s quote can be shortened to just, “Nothing is too wonderful to be true,” because we live in a love- saturated universe full of supernatural possibilities.  How could it be possible for us to have greater dreams and more wonderful thoughts than what are revealed in our material universe if there was not a loving good God?
It is easy for us to have our thoughts, desires and dreams limited by our physical circumstances.  God comes to us with supernatural possibilities and as our faith grows our thinking grows. For nothing is too wonderful to be true.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you.
