It is one thing to believe in God, but quite another to be led by God. It is one thing to believe in Jesus, but quite another to follow Jesus. Who’s lead are you following? Are you doing the job that God led you to or one that you chose to do? Do you live in the town you live in now because God led you there or because you decided to move there? Are the relationships you are in because God led you to them or because you chose them? How we answer these questions and many others like them reveal whether we are living by our GPS or by God’s GPS. Our own GPS can only take us to the place we punch in but when we live by God’s GPS He can get us to His favored destination for our lives. Do you realize that God has a favored destiny for your life? It is a grace-infused life that far surpasses anything we could ever do on our own. So, how do we recalibrate our lives to start living by God’s GPS and laying hold of this favored destiny for our lives? We must follow Jesus’ lead and it is a lead of love for He is always ahead of us, He is always preparing the way for us and He is always joyfully waiting for us.
Never look at a Traffic Signal the same again. When you see a Red Light – Stop and pray – Lord, am I going in the right direction? When you see a Yellow Light – pray – Lord, what am I not seeing and what do I need to beware of. And when you see a Green Light – pray – Giving thanks to God for His leading in your life and stand upon His promises that His lead of love will lead you to His favored destiny for your life.
